Could the above site be where the police pitched their tent on October, 26th at Stringybark Creek?
I believe this may be the approximate site as I have carefully studied McIntyre’s Manuscript and the immediate area. I have also drawn sketches, taken measurements from different points and all have lead me to the above site.

This year’s Ned Kelly Weekend is a dual commemorative event, with it being 130 years since Ned Kelly’s committal hearing was held in the historic Courthouse and 30 years since the telemovie The Last Outlaw was filmed. |

Stay in touch with the latest developments RE: the location of the police camp at SBC. Bill Denheld has put his conclusion forward to the forum readers at Kellycountry2000.com as did Bruce Johnson, myself and Glenn Standing. To draw to your own conclusion I recommend reading McIntyre’s Manuscript followed by conducting your own field work on location (at Stringybark Creek). |
